Crochet Terracotta Pot Free Pattern
This pattern is just for the pot, no plant or soil. This pot will fit in the palm of your hand and stand around 3 inches tall. The pattern is easily adaptable to make a wider and/or taller pot.

Materials
Red heart yarn (brown, orange or whatever color desired)
G 4mm hook
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Directions
1-4 are the base of the pot; increase number of rows for a wider pot, decrease number of rows for a thinner pot
Round 1: chain 2, 8 HDC in first chain, slip stitch into first stitch
Round 2: chain 1, 2 HDC in each stitch around, slip stitch into first stitch
Round 3: chain 1, (HDC, 2 HDC in next) repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch
Round 4: chain 1, (1 HDC in the first 2 stitches, 2 HDC in next) repeat around, slip stitch into first stitch
Rounds 5- is the height of the pot. Round 5 will make a little bump and the following rounds will build up the height. For a taller pot add more rows, for a shorter pot decrease rows
Round 5: chain 1, FLO HDC around, slip stitch into first stitch
Round 6: chain 1, (1 HDC in first 3 stitches, 2 HDC in next) repeat to end, slip stitch into first
Rounds 7-8: chain 1, HDC around, slip stitch into first
Round 9: chain 1, (1 HDC in first 4 stitches, 2 HDC in next stitch) repeat to end, slip stitch into first stitch
Rounds 10-13: chain 1, HDC in each stitch, slip stitch into the first
Round 14: chain 1, work in FLO around (the loop on the outter loop of the pot) you will work 4 increase HDC evenly spacing those around, 1 HDC in every other stitch. Slip stitch into the first stitch
Rounds 15-16: chain 1, HDC around. Slip stitch into the first stitch
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
