Pattern Make A Stuffed Apple into A Coin Purse

This pattern will explain how to make an apple with a hidden pocket (secret stash, hide a key, cute desk decor for a teacher, hide candy for kids, ext).

This pattern is heavily influenced on a free pattern available here

So to make this apple you will follow the apple pattern as described until row 29. For row 29 I chain 6-8 (or as many were needed to fit my button) I then slip stitches back into the first stitch to create a loop of chains for the button to connect.

I did a chain 8 for the stem skipping the first stitch I did 6 HDC. I fasted off and left the last chain, this is where the button will be seen on. 

For the leaf I chained 8. Skip first SC in second, HDC in next, DC in next two, HDC in next, 2 SC in last (turn work so you are now working your way down the reverse side of the chain) HDC in second, DC in next two, HDC, single crochet in last stitch. Slip stitch and fasten off. 

Sew leaf to stem, sew button to stem. Weave in the ends. Completed apple should look something like this
